International conference „Social Dynamics of Climate Policy and Sustainable Transformation“ in Hohenheim coming up  [12.05.26]

From June 27 to 29, 2026, our Department will host an international conference on “Social Dynamics of Climate Policy and Sustainable Transformation” at the University of Hohenheim. We are being supported in this endeavor by Dr. Adrian Lüders (Institute for Communication Science) and Dr. Ronja Gerdes (Leuphana University Lüneburg) as well as the European Association of Social Psychology (EASP). The goal of the conference is to facilitate exchange and networking among researchers at the intersection of social and environmental psychology.

Preparations for the conference are underway and the program is taking shape. A total of 45 researchers at various career stages from 11 countries will participate in the conference and present their research. In addition to an extensive academic program, ample opportunities for networking and social activities—such as a visit to the Hohenheim Gardens—are planned. To conclude the conference, there will be a public keynote address by Prof. Matthew Hornsey (University of Queensland, Australia) on Monday, June 29, at 1:30 p.m. in the Balcony Room on “The attitude roots of opposition to renewable energy” to which interested parties from all faculties and study programs are cordially invited.
